The Arc of Centre County is hiring Full-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Home & Community Supports (HCS) team, supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their own homes and throughout the community.

This role is ideal for someone who wants meaningful, relationship-driven work while helping others live independently and stay connected to their community.

What You'll Do

As a DSP in our HCS program, you will:

• Support individuals in their homes and community settings

• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, hygiene, routines)

• Encourage independence and personal goal achievement

• Help individuals participate in community activities and social engagement

• Build trusting, respectful relationships

• Promote a safe, healthy, and empowering environment

Transportation & Driving Expectations

This role may include transporting individuals in the community. DSPs in our HCS program:

• Use their personal vehicle to transport individuals to activities, appointments, and outings

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

• Must maintain auto insurance that meets minimum requirements

• Receive mileage reimbursement for work-related travel
