Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Aide to join our team in Birmingham, Alabama. The Clinical Aide will be responsible for scheduling, transporting, and completing follow-up documentation related to medical and dental appointments for the individuals we serve. This role ensures a safe environment during transport and appointments and requires excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Appointment Management: Schedule, transport, and complete follow-up documentation related to medical and dental appointments for people served.
- Assistance During Examinations: Assist individuals during medical examinations and inform medical workers of the individual's needs and concerns.
- Communication: Communicate with supervisors concerning the outcomes of doctors office visits and procedures.
- Safety: Maintain a safe environment for individuals during transport and medical appointments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of spending related to individuals served.
- Additional Duties: Perform related duties as assigned.
- Education: Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Certification: Current CNA certification preferred.
- Experience: Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred. An equivalent combination of experience and training is acceptable.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, well-organized.
- Requirements: Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license; must be insurable by the agencys insurance. Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
- Frequent standing, walking, hand dexterity, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and speaking and listening both near and long distances.
- Must have vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.
- Occasional sitting required.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving more than 100 pounds.
