What You'll Do
As an Overnight DSP, you will provide awake, alert supervision and ensure the home remains safe, clean, and comfortable throughout the night:
- Remain awake and alert during the entire shift
- Complete hourly phone checks through the automated time and attendance system
- Monitor and attend to residents' needs at any time during the night
- Support morning routines to ensure individuals are awake, groomed, and prepared for their day
- Maintain a home-like, safe, and secure environment, including performing assigned cleaning tasks
- Ensure the home and furnishings remain in good condition; report maintenance needs promptly
- Provide direct support with laundry, hygiene, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and other daily living skills
- Administer medications as required and follow all health, dietary, behavioral, and adaptive equipment plans
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Complete all required documentation, including daily logs, communication notes, medical records, and tracking forms
- Know and follow each resident's Individual Habilitation Plan, including implementing goals and documenting progress
- Protect residents' rights, dignity, privacy, and personal choices

Requirements
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid NJ Driver's License with no more than 5 points
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Comfortable working independently and handling emergency situations with sound judgment and ability to lift/move 50 lbs, assist individuals with mobility, and perform cleaning/household tasks
