The Business Operations Manager is a critical, execution‑focused role responsible for ensuring that organizational processes across different social enterprise business lines are carried out accurately, consistently, and in alignment with established SOPs. This position reports directly to the Director of Business Operations, who sets the strategic direction. Your role is to be the “eyes and ears on the ground” to make sure those strategies are implemented effectively.
In addition to other services, The Arc specializes in the employment of adults with developmental disabilities. We operate several social enterprise lines of business such as:
- Commercial Cleaning
- Food Services
- Document Shredding Services
- Assembly and Fulfillment Services
This role will align as the Operations Manager with each business unit for SOP/Process implementation and improvement.
This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on operations professional who enjoys organizing information, improving workflows, supporting managers, and keeping complex processes running smoothly across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that SOPs created by the Director of Business Operations are being implemented and consistently followed across departments
- Train staff on new or updated operational procedures
- Monitor compliance with workflows and escalate issues when processes are not being followed
- Identify day‑to‑day operational gaps and recommend/implement practical improvements
- Ensure Compliance

- Support the Director of Business Operations
Contracts Management & Procurement
- Participate in contract drafting, negotiation, compliance, and renewals
- Strengthen procurement processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and alignment with organizational goals
- Advise leadership on operational improvements, resource allocation, and staffing structures
Qualifications

- Comfortable working with front‑line managers and supporting them in following established processes

- Proficiency with spreadsheets, budget tracking tools, and document management systems
