- Support the individual in activities of their choosing including fitness classes, park visits, movies/museum trips, career exploration etc.
- Transporting individual(s) to various locations and activities within the community.
- Initiate and maintain relationships within the community professionally and personally.
- Assist individuals with personal care activities such as toileting, feeding, showering, etc
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
- Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record and three (3) or more years of driving experience.
- Two (2) or more years of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred. CMT desirable.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills necessary. Must be independent and self-directed. Excellent oral and written communication skills and Microsoft Office experience a plus.
- Position requires frequent standing and walking.
- Driving and transporting persons receiving services is a significant portion of this position.
- Must be able to work flexible hours as required to train and support individuals. This may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
