🌍 Remote Volunteering Opportunity — Empower Underprivileged Children & Youth
🔹 The Ann Foundation is a 100% volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for underprivileged children and youth around the world. Through free virtual English and computer literacy classes, we empower students to become confident communicators, independent thinkers, and future-ready global citizens.
Virtual English (ESL) Tutors – Volunteer Role
As a volunteer English tutor, you will:
- Conduct online English classes for students from under-resourced communities
- Teach speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills at the beginner to intermediate level
- Help students build confidence and real-world communication skills
- Use interactive methods to keep students engaged and motivated
As an English tutor, you will lead interactive online ESL classes for children and youth from under-resourced and rural communities. Many of these students have had little to no exposure to the English language. A structured curriculum will be provided to guide your lessons and support effective teaching.
We welcome volunteers with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, TESOL, or a related field, though this is preferred and not required. A strong command of spoken and written English is essential. While prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus, it is not mandatory. Volunteers should be able to commit at least 2 hours per week and feel comfortable teaching in a virtual setting using platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.
Languages Preferred (in addition to English):
We are especially looking for volunteers who are proficient in English and Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, or Malayalam to better support our students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
💵 Compensation:
This is a volunteer position – unpaid, but immensely rewarding.
