We are a volunteer-based ministry dedicated to providing rescue, care, and advocacy for at-risk animals while also addressing the systemic injustice that leads to the destitution of both animals and people.

About The Animal Cause, Inc.

The Animal Cause, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Christian animal-welfare nonprofit dedicated to saving vulnerable animals and advancing practical solutions to the problems affecting animal welfare.

Our work includes animal rescue, transport, animal visibility, fundraising, volunteer development, partnerships, advocacy, education, and programs designed to address both immediate animal needs and the larger systems affecting animals and communities.

We are building an interconnected organization in which people, programs, technology, storytelling, partnerships, and volunteers work together to save lives and strengthen animal welfare.

Position Summary

The Corporate & College Volunteer Recruitment Team will help The Animal Cause, Inc. expand its volunteer base by actively recruiting people from corporations, businesses, colleges, universities, student organizations, professional groups, and other organized communities.

The purpose of this team is to take The Animal Cause's volunteer opportunities directly to places where potential volunteers already gather and help move interested individuals from awareness to application, screening, and appropriate volunteer placement.

This is an active recruitment role—not simply a research or administrative position.

Team members will identify organizations and communities with potential volunteers, determine the appropriate point of contact, conduct approved outreach, communicate available volunteer opportunities, follow up with interested individuals or groups, and track recruitment results.

The team will work closely with the Volunteer Recruiting Team and other program teams to ensure that recruited volunteers are directed toward real, current organizational needs.

Corporate Recruitment

Team members may recruit volunteers through

• corporations and businesses;
• employee volunteer programs;
• corporate service initiatives;
• professional associations;
• employee resource groups;
• company community-service programs;
• local business networks;
• organized employee groups;
• corporate volunteer days;
• skills-based volunteer programs.
  
  

The objective is to identify employees who can contribute individually, as teams, or through recurring volunteer opportunities.

College Recruitment

Team members may recruit volunteers through

• colleges and universities;
• student organizations;
• campus volunteer organizations;
• service-learning programs;
• academic departments;
• student government;
• campus ministries;
• professional student organizations;
• career centers;
• internship programs;
• faculty and staff networks;
• class and capstone projects.
  
  

The objective is to connect students and university communities with meaningful volunteer opportunities that align with their skills, interests, academic goals, and availability.

Core Responsibilities

Team members may help with

• identifying corporations and colleges with potential volunteer populations;
• researching appropriate organizations and contacts;
• identifying employee volunteer coordinators, HR/CSR contacts, campus volunteer offices, faculty contacts, student organization leaders, and other appropriate points of contact;
• developing qualified recruitment lists;
• introducing The Animal Cause and its mission;
• presenting current volunteer opportunities;
• directing interested individuals to the organization's volunteer application;
• communicating approved volunteer opportunities to groups;
• following up with prospective volunteers and organizational contacts;
• helping coordinate group volunteer information sessions where appropriate;
• tracking recruitment activity and results;
• documenting referrals into the volunteer pipeline;
• coordinating with the Volunteer Recruiting Team;
• identifying which recruitment sources produce qualified applicants;
• recommending where future recruitment efforts should be concentrated.
