The Anderson School of Music is looking for a trumpet teacher for a weekly Monday lesson schedule.
Our ideal candidate has a degree in music with an emphasis in trumpet performance or pedagogy and at least two years of teaching experience. A brass instructor who can teach trumpet even if it is not your main instrument is encouraged to apply. We will consider current music majors for this role. You must be comfortable teaching beginners; most will be in the middle school age group. The ability to teach other instruments is a plus. The availability to sub on other days is also a plus. It is critical that our teachers instill a love for music in their students in our quest to build a generation of lifelong musicians. Ideally you live in the South Bay.
All lessons are taught in person at our Los Gatos location. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important. Starting pay for a teacher with a music degree or equivalent experience is $35 per hour with a potential raise after a 90-day assessment period.
