Operator

Amlon Sweetwater is a leading provider of advanced thermal processing and metal recovery solutions, specializing in the safe treatment and recycling of complex industrial and hazardous materials. Our proprietary technology allows customers to process materials in-house with high efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility.

Due to continued company growth, we are seeking multiple reliable and motivated Operators to join our team and support daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Hourly Rate: $16- $17 per hour.

Different shifts available:

Position Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move pallets, materials, and containers as directed
• Operate thermal destruction systems in accordance with safety and operating procedures
• Perform material handling duties
• Load and unload thermal destruction systems
• Maintain housekeeping and a clean, safe work environment
• Identify and report safety concerns and equipment issues
• Complete daily operational and safety reports
• Assist with building and maintenance projects as needed

Experience & Skill Requirements

• Strong motor skills
• Forklift experience and current certification
• Experience working shift schedules
• Strong time management and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to manage an independent workload and follow instructions

Physical Requirements

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment for most of the workday
• Ability to recognize and respond to hazardous situations
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs
• Ability to work in confined spaces and around loud equipment
• Ability to respond quickly to audible alarms and sounds
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments and on concrete floors
• Ability to maintain balance while standing, walking, crouching, or working on uneven or slippery surfaces
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required
• Visual acuity sufficient to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment

Working Conditions:

• The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
• The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system: Fumes, odors, dust, mist, gases, or poor ventilation.
• The worker is subject to fluids: There is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other fluids
• The worker is required to wear a respirator.
• The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.
