Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with accuracy and attention to detail
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining organized displays
- Conduct product demos when applicable to engage customers and increase sales
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Support supervising staff with daily operations as needed
- Ensure the checkout and retail area is clean, organized, and ready for customer use
- Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous
- Ability to upsell products effectively and promote store offerings
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math principles
- Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
