Duties

• Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly.
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through upselling techniques.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to ensure an attractive shopping environment.
• Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform accurate cash handling procedures with attention to detail.
• Assist with stocking shelves, inventory management, and ensuring products are available for customers.
• Use phone etiquette skills to answer inquiries professionally and direct calls appropriately.
• Support retail sales initiatives by promoting special offers and new products to maximize revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with POS systems and cash handling is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership in retail environments is a plus.
• Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and courteously.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or retail math is advantageous for accurate transactions and inventory management.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cashiering tasks.
• Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions over the phone or in person.
