Job Overview:
The B.L.O.W. Initiative & Civic Engagement Program Manager leads key AAAWLC civic engagement and organizing initiatives—including the B.L.O.W. Project (Believe, Learn, Overcome, Win), a culturally responsive campaign supporting Black/African American residents affected by substance use, and related community mobilization efforts. This role combines program design and delivery, coalition building, advocacy, youth organizing, health equity, and campaign management.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the B.L.O.W. Initiative: Oversee program design and implementation, includingeducational campaigns, trusted messenger training, fellows’ development, outreach, andprogress tracking.

- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and objectives of AAAWLC.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Human Services, Social Policy, orrelated field (preferred), or equivalent experience.
- 3 years’ experience in community organizing, program management, advocacy, orbehavioral health with a focus on racial equity and substance use.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and supervise youth fellows, community leaders, andorganizing teams.
- Expertise engaging Black/African American communities and understanding socialjustice, behavioral health, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Skilled communicator with proven relationship-building, facilitation, and projectmanagement strengths.
- Strong knowledge of harm reduction, local resource networks, and creative campaigndevelopment.
- Effective in multi-stakeholder environments; adept at data tracking, reporting, andadaptable problem solving.
- Lived experience with health disparities, recovery, or reentry welcomed and valued.
