Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development, including preschool and toddler activities
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, ensuring safety, comfort, and emotional support for all children
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and play
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that encourage social interaction, creativity, and motor skills development
- Monitor children’s behavior using positive behavior management techniques and help foster respectful interactions among peers
- Support special education needs by adapting activities to accommodate children with disabilities or additional learning requirements
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow all health and safety protocols diligently
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is advantageous
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also independently supporting children's needs
