What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President Financial Reporting position at The Alliance Group?
What You’ll Own:
- Lead and oversee the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements including applicable financial statement notes
- Subject matter expert on US GAAP and responsible for the preparation and filing of financial statements
- Assist in managing the relationship with the external auditors, ensuring the audit reports get issued timely and any audit issues are resolved proactively and efficiently
- Interpret and implement new technical accounting standards and assess their impact on the company's financial statements.
- Implement new accounting policies and maintain / update existing policies for changes in the organization structure, reporting requirements or other specific transactions
- Oversee the fair value accounting processes, ensuring accurate and compliant valuations of financial instruments and other assets.
- Work with external auditors on requests for assistance; prepare schedules, as necessary.
- Manage and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals.
- Drive collaborative and proactive relationships with key stakeholders, including key constituents such as FP&A, Capital Markets, Legal & Compliance, and Data departments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; CPA is required
- 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, with top tier public accounting foundation
- Experience working with financial reporting tools
- Ability to interact with senior level external auditors and multiple internal stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles and practices and ability to research / problem solve complex accounting issues on an as needed basis.
- Strong financial analytics and data interpretation with exceptional attention to detail
Salary : $250,000 - $350,000
