The primary purpose of this position is to serve in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) Engineering Directorate (EN) and directly contribution to delivering exceptional engineering solutions that enhance AF readiness and effectiveness through innovation, advanced technology, and a highly skilled workforce to contribute to mission success with cutting edge capabilities, a collaborative spirit, and unwavering commitment.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Employee must meet the education and specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Professional and Scientific Positions (Master's degree preferred.):
- Engineering standard: ;br>
- Computer science: ;br>
- Physical scientist: ;br>
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Science & Engineering (S&E)
- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance as a condition of employment
- Could be subject to random testing for drug use
- Periodic travel for temporary duty (TDY) may be needed to support workload
- Designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)
KSAs:
- Knowledge of Technology Modernization and Insertion programs across the Department of War, to include advanced acquisition strategies, to include both contract and funding pathways.
- Ability to research, collect, and analyze data on program participation, demographics, and outcomes; prepare regular reports on program activities and achievements for Air Force leadership; track metrics related to program impact on defense industrial base interest.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to accomplish requirements documentation and system application development to support tech insertion programs and processes; team with both internal and external customers to ensure successful integration and operation of fielded support applications; and provide technical support to end-users for assigned systems.
