About the Role
As an Estimator, you’ll play a key part in evaluating project plans, developing accurate cost proposals, and partnering with teams to deliver high-quality construction outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to produce precise estimates
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing
- Prepare quantity takeoffs, bid breakdowns, and proposal materials
- Participate in pre-bid walk-throughs and ensure comprehensive bid coverage
- Review, qualify, and compare subcontractor proposals and scopes
- Develop and finalize the Bid Book and support a smooth hand-off to Project Management
- Assist with contract reviews and provide ongoing estimating support throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- 5 years of estimating experience in construction
- Strong understanding of financial practices, accounting principles, and related software tools
- Exceptional communication skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple bids, shifting priorities, and deadlines
- Experience with Sage, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar estimating programs
