Wilson & Girgenti, P.A. is seeking an Estimator to join our multi discipline Engineer firm for the purpose of producing engineering estimates. The disciplines include Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection/ Alarm and Structural. The qualified individual must:Be a take-charge kind of individual who knows their way around a Microsoft Word Document, Excel Spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and Adobe PDF.Be able to problem solveMust be organizedHave the ability to write and proofreadAbout the position: The Estimator would coordinate and prepare simple to moderately complex estimates from the point of intake through calculation and write to client delivery.In addition:Coordinate and maintain team documentation efforts for responses to RFPs/RFQsDraft estimates and communicate across teams and disciplines to get input and meet strict deadlinesPrepare daily/weekly/monthly estimate reports and spreadsheetsMaintain estimate logs and related filesFollow up on leads and outstanding estimatesExperience & Skills-Ability to take direction and think independently when given tasksAdvanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Adobe and ExcelExperience within related industries (MEP, FP and Structural engineering/construction)Familiarity with RFP and RFQ proceduresMust be familiar with reading construction drawingsBasic knowledge and ability to read and understand architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical plans, and scopes of workIncredibly high level of quality, consistency and accuracyMust have organizational and time management skillsProven written and verbal communication skillsFlexible; ability to shift priorities under pressure while maintaining routine follow-through on deadlines and commitmentsMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision, but function as part of a teamQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business or Communications preferred but not required.Minimum of two years' experience in estimating or closely related field to the A&E Industry required.This is a great opportunity to join our young and growing company as we expand our existing Orlando location!
