What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Structural Engineer position at The Adecco Group?
Our client, an engineering design and consulting firm, is hiring a Senior Structural Engineer (PE) in Chattanooga, TN. This position will act as a lead for the structural engineering department and oversee the design and delivery of commercial and industrial construction projects.
Preference will be given to local candidates or those residing within 150 miles of Chattanooga, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from proposal through completion, ensuring delivery of high-quality commercial and industrial structures.
- Develop structural designs, calculations, and construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and support construction site observations and inspections
- Coordinate with architects, design professionals, and contractors throughout all phases of the project
- Maintain high-quality documentation and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and client expectations
- Occasional travel to construction sites, client meetings, and the Chattanooga office may be required. (30% or less)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 9 years of structural engineering experience with a focus on commercial/industrial construction
- Experience with Revit or similar design software is preferred
- Must be willing to occasionally travel to construction sites, client meetings, and the office in Chattanooga
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S., as this client is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at any time.
