Registered Nurse Cath Lab II

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a specialized outpatient cardiovascular surgery center in Las Vegas. This position provides comprehensive preoperative and post-anesthesia care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with PreOp or PACU experience who enjoys working in a collaborative procedural environment and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
What You’ll Do
- Complete preoperative assessments and confirm patients are ready for their procedures
- Review medical histories, medications, allergies, laboratory results, consents, and physician orders
- Initiate IV access and administer medications and fluids as ordered
- Prepare and educate patients and families before procedures
- Receive and monitor patients following anesthesia, sedation, and cardiovascular interventions
- Assess cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic status
- Monitor vascular access sites for bleeding, hematoma, or other complications
- Provide pain, nausea, airway, and comfort management during recovery
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond quickly to emergencies
- Apply established recovery and discharge criteria
- Provide discharge instructions and education to patients and caregivers
- Complete accurate clinical documentation and handoff reports
- Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesia providers, technologists, and nursing team members
- Participate in safety initiatives, training, and quality-improvement activities
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current, unrestricted Nevada RN license
- At least one year of PreOp or PACU nursing experience
- Medical-surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications or ability to obtain them within the required timeframe
- Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient procedural environment
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-education skills
