What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control Engineer position at The Adecco Group?
Adecco Permanent Recruitment is partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Hopkinsville, KY area to find a Controls Engineer to support advanced automation, equipment launches, robotics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
• Design, develop, and implement controls for automated manufacturing equipment
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, robotics, vision systems, and industrial networks
• Support automation projects from concept through installation, commissioning, and startup
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform root cause analysis
• Support new equipment installations and product launches
• Partner with maintenance and production to improve uptime and reliability
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings and controls documentation
• Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
• Train maintenance and operations teams on new equipment and troubleshooting
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3–5 years of controls/automation experience in manufacturing
• PLC/HMI programming & troubleshooting
• Experience with Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi, and/or Pro-face
• Ladder Logic, Structured Text & SQL experience
• AutoCAD or similar drafting/design software
