A leading behavioral health organization is seeking an experienced Director of Crisis Services to oversee day-to-day operational leadership for facility-based crisis programs across the Flagstaff and Kingman regions. This is a high-impact role for a proven leader passionate about improving access, safety, and quality within crisis care.
About the Role
The Director provides strategic and operational oversight of multiple crisis units, inpatient settings, and/or residential programs. You will mentor program leadership, drive performance improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and support an integrated model of patient-centered crisis care.
This role is ideal for someone who excels at system-wide coordination, thrives in fast-paced environments, and brings strong expertise in behavioral health or medical crisis operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and development for Operations Administrators and Supervisors across assigned crisis facilities.
- Oversee functional flow, safety protocols, discharge planning, and coordination-of-care standards.
- Lead quality oversight, corrective action planning, and adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
- Build collaborative relationships with hospitals, law enforcement, first responders, and community partners.
- Guide staffing models, resource allocation, and budget alignment.
- Monitor operational metrics, capacity management, throughput benchmarks, and patient safety outcomes.
- Support leadership training, employee development, performance evaluations, and retention initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
- Participate in committees, community workgroups, and internal improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Behavioral Health–related field required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience within crisis or medical facility operations.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including Excel proficiency.
- Arizona clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background requirements.
