Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of School Operations, the Personal Care Aide provides support to students with disabilities and general education students to ensure their health, safety, and full participation in school programs and activities. The aide assists students with daily living activities and personal care needs, including toileting, diapering, feeding, hygiene, and mobility support, while helping maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. In addition to personal care responsibilities, the Personal Care Aide supports basic student health services and general school aide duties that contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the campus. Health-related responsibilities may include assisting with health office organization, monitoring students who report illness or minor injuries, maintaining basic health documentation, and assisting with general first aid under established school procedures. The Personal Care Aide may also support general campus supervision duties such as assisting with student transitions, recess, lunch supervision, and arrival and dismissal monitoring. The position emphasizes maintaining student dignity, privacy, and well-being while supporting access to classroom instruction, health services, and school activities.
