Position Overview
The Academy Preschool and Early Education Center is seeking a caring, reliable, and energetic Summer Child Care Floater to support classrooms serving children from infants through preschool age.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, thrives in a team environment, and is passionate about early childhood development. As a floater, you will assist in multiple classrooms, helping ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care and supervision for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
- Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities and routines
- Support feeding, diapering, toileting, and nap routines
- Engage children in age-appropriate play and learning activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
- Step into different classrooms as needed to maintain proper staff-to-child ratios
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with young children preferred (childcare, babysitting, camp, etc.)
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to different age groups and classroom needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be reliable and punctual
Preferred (but not required)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
