Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year
Compensation Range: $53,314 – $56,016 annually (DOE)
Position Overview
Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities.
AMS is seeking a passionate and student-centered 4th Grade ELA & Social Studies Teacher to deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that fosters literacy, critical thinking, historical inquiry, and academic growth.
AMS teachers are collaborative professionals who believe all scholars can achieve at high levels through structured instruction, strong classroom culture, and data-informed decision-making.
This role requires a teacher who is committed to supporting students in Title I communities while maintaining high academic expectations and fostering a positive, engaging classroom environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:
- Hold a valid Arkansas Standard Teaching License with Elementary Education certification, OR
- Be eligible for Arkansas educator licensure through an approved pathway, OR
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Education or a related field and meet Arkansas Department of Education licensure requirements.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
- Show a commitment to serving Title I and multilingual learner communities.
- Possess strong instructional and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate collaboration, professionalism, and initiative in a team-based environment.
- Successfully complete all required background checks and Arkansas Department of Education employment requirements.
