Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Achievement
- Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in 3rd grade ELA and social studies using AMS curriculum and instructional frameworks.
- Build strong literacy skills including reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, and language development.
- Integrate social studies content to promote historical thinking, civic understanding, and cultural awareness.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including multilingual students.
- Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instruction and improve student outcomes.
- Participate in weekly professional development sessions and professional learning communities.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to refine teaching practices.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding academic progress and student goals.
- Lead parent-teacher conferences and maintain strong, positive relationships with families.
- Implement PBIS and proactive classroom management strategies to support student success.
- Establish a structured, engaging, and literacy-rich classroom environment.
- Support the social-emotional development of elementary students.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and elementary literacy instructional skills
- Pass required background checks and obtain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Demonstrate commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities
- Show enthusiasm for data-driven instruction and student growth
- Demonstrate collaboration, flexibility, and a student-centered mindset

- Salary Range: $44,770 – $50,550 (DOE)
