Accounts Payable Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:

• Receive, review, code and process invoices from vendors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures. Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
• Match payments with corresponding invoices and obtain necessary approvals. Communicate with vendors regarding invoice inquiries, discrepancies, and payment status. Resolve issues and discrepancies promptly to maintain positive vendor relationships.
• Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and related documentation. Ensure all documents are filed accurately and in compliance with record retention policies.
• Conduct reconciliations of supplier statements and resolve discrepancies or disputes with vendors.
• Assist in processing employee expense reports, verifying receipts, and ensuring compliance with company expense policies.
• Maintaining accurate vendor records, including banking, tax information, and payment terms.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance preferred, or related field experience accepted.
• 3 Years of operations accounting experience

Required Skills:

• Strong organizational and management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Ability to maintain adherence to financial reporting schedules.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in AP software within an ERP system.
• Manufacturing experience a plus
