About That 1 Painter Oregon
That 1 Painter is a fast-growing residential & light commercial painting company focused on professional crews, clean jobsites, and “Best House Guest Ever” service. Our Oregon City / Gresham location is growing and we’re looking for a Sales & Project Manager to own a territory, build a local book of business, and deliver 5‑star experiences for our customers.
About the role
This is not a sit-behind-a-desk estimator job.
We’re looking for a persuasive communicator and natural networker who loves meeting people, building relationships, and owning their income.
As a Sales & Project Manager, you will:
- Spend a meaningful portion of each week networking and building a local lead pipeline (realtors, property managers, local businesses, community events, past clients)
- Run in‑home and virtual painting estimates, present options, and close profitable work
- Manage projects start to finish: scheduling, coordinating crews, quality checks, and final walk‑throughs
- Proactively follow up on all open estimates to move deals to a clear yes/no
- Protect margins, resolve issues early, and drive 5‑star reviews
- Hit and exceed monthly revenue targets for your territory using both company and self‑generated leads
Compensation & perks
- $4,000/month guaranteed draw (base) against commissions
- 7–8% commission on revenue, with higher rates for higher-margin jobs
- Realistic first-year earnings: $80,000–$120,000 for strong performers
- Company vehicle, fuel, iPad, and tools
- Medical, dental, vision after 90 days, plus PTO, holidays, and paid training
You’re a fit if
- You have experience in sales, business development, or route/territory management (roofing, solar, restoration, beverage, B2B, etc.)
- You genuinely enjoy networking, meeting new people, and building referral relationships
- You’re organized with your calendar, follow-up, and pipeline
- You have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and can work independently in the field
- You have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Painting / home improvement experience is a plus, but not required
