Role Overview

This position involves assisting in managing the daily operations of a retail department, focusing on training staff, maintaining staffing levels, and ensuring compliance with company standards and goals. It requires expertise in meat cutting, product preparation, inventory management, and adhering to food safety, safety, and cleanliness standards. The role includes supervising team performance, scheduling, and implementing company policies to meet key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

• Order, stock, and control inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
• Cut and weigh meat products for individual servings.
• Verify received orders for quality and accuracy.
• Support team management, including training, performance, and development.
• Maintain product knowledge and ensure store promotions and pricing are followed.
• Execute daily plans, manage schedules, and control labor costs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Assist in department forecasting and maintaining a clean, attractive department.
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and guest experience standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall store operations.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, interpret documents, and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets).
• Knowledge of suggestive selling and product details is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks in varied environments.
  
  

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Work in varied temperatures and store environments, with exposure to outside weather.
• Moderate noise levels and potential travel depending on assignment.
