Junior High and High School Industrial Arts Teaching Assistant

Thales Academy Holly Springs is accepting applications for a Junior High and High School Industrial Arts Teaching Assistant.

The mission of Thales Academy is to provide an excellent and affordable education for students in Pre-K to 12th grades through the use of Direct Instruction (K-5) and a Classical Curriculum (6-12) that embodies traditional values.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist with Industrial Arts and Luddy Institute of Technology (LIT) classes
• Support classroom instruction and hands-on student projects
• Set up equipment and materials following existing lesson plans
• Help maintain an organized, safe, and productive classroom environment
• Learn curriculum while working under the guidance of the lead instructor
• Assume increased instructional responsibilities over time
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Some combination of experience or interest in one or more of the following areas: Engineering and Design, CAD/SolidWorks, Robotics, Woodworking, Basic mechanics, 3D printing, Electronics, Practical Life Skills, Home Repair, Cooking and Nutrition, First Aid and Safety
• Must be adaptable, eager to learn, organized
• A passion for teaching
• Teaching experience preferred but not required
