What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at Thai Summit America?
Primary Job Function:
Support the new vehicle development of TSAC programs by exchanging Engineering information with others in the department. Support material, equipment, and product specifications and process requirements under close direction of a more Senior Engineer or management. Provide the department with design alternatives that facilitate manufacturing feasibility. Provide assistance in research and development and improvement activities. Accomplish any and all work assignments as directed by management.

- Customer Satisfaction
- Cost, Quality, Delivery, Concerns/Conflicts
- Launch Projects
- APQP, PPAP
- Establish and Maintain project open concerns matrix
- Supplier and In-house Coordination and Follow-up
- Research & Development/ New Technology Assistance
- Maintain Engineering Specifications
- Manufacturing Engineering VA/VE - Quality Concerns
- Adherence to launch methodology processes
- Intra-organizational contact
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or a minimum of 4 years combined education/experience in skilled trades or relevant field (design, stamping, process, QA, CAD, or assembly)
- Basic working knowledge of die/process/manufacturing, assembly, and/or press feasibility
- Knowledge in core tools, control plans, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, customer specifics
- Problem solving, data analysis, GD&T, SPL, CM4d and data collection
- New hire orientation
- ERP System Training
- Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs
- Occasional bending and reaching
- Ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to use a phone and computer keyboard
- Ability to work in office and manufacturing environment
