Job Title: Data Centre Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Engineer to join our team at TGS-International-Group. The ideal candidate will have experience in Voice and Data Cabling environments, a thorough understanding of modern computer network infrastructure, and the ability to work with fibre and copper voice and data cabling.
Responsibilities:
• Audit and document existing cabling installations.
• Audit and document desktop configuration, including patching and power, for existing and proposed user locations.
• Utilise Cable Management Software as required for patching planning.
• Power down and disconnect all desktop equipment including any peripherals ensuring all identified and labelled correctly ready for reconnection.
• IMAC-D (Install, Move, Add, Change, Disconnect) of all desktop equipment including any peripherals.
Requirements:
• Experience of working in Voice and Data Cabling environment.
• Thorough understanding of modern computer network infrastructure.
• Thorough understanding and practical experience of fibre and copper voice and data cabling including terminating, test equipment, test parameters and test techniques.
• Good knowledge of Service Now (and other Process and Asset Management Tools).
• Ability to use all types of Modern Hand Held Cable Standards Testers.
Work Schedule:
The successful candidate will be required to work Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:00 and/or 14:00 - 23:00 (Shift Rota), with weekday overtime and weekend working as required.
