Responsibilities:
- Repairs and maintains mail and postage equipment
- Performs routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues such as jams, misfeeds, and software issues
- Trains clients on proper equipment operation
- Manage multi-zip code territory
- Install, service, and upgrade shipping and mailing equipment for clients
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of:
- Electrical circuits, Mechanical systems, Digital controls and sensors, Preventive maintenance practices
- Firmware and software updates
- Network connectivity (LAN/Wi-Fi setup)
Calibration procedures- Basic computer literacy (Windows OS, diagnostic software)
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair postage meters and mailing systems
- Working with postage equipment brands such as: Pitney Bowes, Quadient, FP Mailing Solutions (preferred not required)
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong time management and scheduling efficiency
- Attention to detail and compliance awareness
Experience:
- 1-3 years in Field service technician roles, Office equipment repair, Printer/copier repair, Electronics repair
- Customer-facing technical support is highly valued
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
- Frequent travel to customer sites
- Ability to work with small mechanical parts
- Manual dexterity and good vision
- High school diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
- MUST have Valid driver’s license and vehicle
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 25$-35$ an hour (based on experience)
Benefits: Dental insurance, Health insurance, vision insurance, PTO, and 401(k)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
Work Location: In the field: NYC area
