Summary: TGI Office Automation is seeking a GPS Assist Professional to support Managed Print Services (MPS) initiatives across our client base. This role is responsible for conducting onsite assessments, device inventories, print environment mapping, and data entry to support accurate field data collection and reporting.
The GPS Assist Professional plays a critical role in gathering accurate field data and ensuring devices are properly documented and reported. This drives better decisions and improves client outcomes by ensuring that recommendations and reporting are grounded in real-world conditions. This position works closely with the GPS/MPS leadership team and the FMA team.
This initial role is focused on onsite assessments and data entry of the findings, with the potential to expand into more responsibilities if capable and interested.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Assessments & Site Visits
- Conduct onsite client visits to perform Managed Print assessments.
- Complete detailed device inventories, including printers, MFPs, models, serial numbers, locations, and network connectivity.
- Perform print environment mapping and documentation across client locations.
- Pull usage, configuration, and network status pages as needed during walkthroughs.
Validate device status, usage patterns, and connectivity for data collection tools.
Data Collection & Accuracy
- Collect and verify accurate usage data, meter reads, and device attributes.
- Enter assessment findings and maintain accurate records in designated systems, tools, and reports.
- Identify discrepancies between system data and actual field conditions.
- Work with the FMA team to help ensure devices are properly configured and reporting for MPS and ATR programs.
Process & Standards Compliance
- Follow established MPS and ATR SOPs for assessments and documentation.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all site visits and reports.
- Adhere to safety, security, and client-specific access requirements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Success Metrics:
Field Execution
- On-time completion of assigned site visits and assessments.
- Accuracy and completeness of device inventories and field data.
- Reduction in data discrepancies between field and system records.
Operational Support
- Successful onboarding and maintenance of devices into MPS and ATR programs.
- Accurate reporting of field findings with minimal follow-up required.
- Professional, positive feedback from clients during site visits.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in Managed Print Services, print assessments, or related field roles preferred.
- Strong understanding of printer and MFP environments preferred.
- Comfortable performing onsite audits and working independently in the field.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly to internal teams and clients.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally and regionally.
- Experience with MPS data collection tools (e.g., FMAudit or similar).
- Familiarity with networked print environments.
Job Type: Part-time OR Internship
Salary: $20-$25 an hour (based on experience)
Work Location: In-field-New York/New Jersey territory
