Job Title: Janitor (Industrial / Machine Shop)
Pay: $24/hour
Schedule:
- Tuesday–Friday: 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Training (First 2 Weeks): Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitor to maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within our machine shop and surrounding facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring a safe and efficient work environment by keeping areas clean, removing debris, and properly handling industrial waste such as metal shavings and fluids.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a steady, productive pace throughout their shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain shop floors, workstations, restrooms, and break areas
- Sweep, mop, and scrub floors, including removal of oil, grease, and coolant spills
- Safely dispose of metal shavings, scrap materials, and industrial waste
- Empty trash and recycling containers
- Clean machinery exteriors and surrounding areas (no machine operation required)
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisor when restocking is needed
- Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and industrial vacuums
- Complete tasks efficiently and within assigned timeframes
- Assist with general facility upkeep as needed
