We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is essential in supporting the overall operations of our organization through diligent cleaning and maintenance practices.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure high standards of appearance.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all spaces are clean and well-maintained.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing cleaning duties, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain an organized work area and ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly stored after use.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Janitor or in a similar role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and custodial practices is advantageous.
- Experience in floor care methods, including buffing and polishing, is a plus.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices will be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
