Position Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within assigned production departments. This role ensures efficient production performance by managing schedules, budgets, personnel, and compliance with company policies. The Production Supervisor plays a key role in driving productivity, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Objectives:
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to hourly employees (approximately 15–60 team members).
- Establish and communicate clear daily, weekly, and monthly production goals and performance expectations.
- Enforce and administer company personnel policies in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate departmental and individual performance to ensure operational targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies and promote a culture of workplace safety.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Services to support and implement process improvement and efficiency initiatives.
- Partner with the Engineering team to implement engineering changes, production updates, and new product introductions.
- Analyze workflow and production metrics to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field strongly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze performance data and drive operational improvements
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
