Role Description The Account Executive role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Tampa, FL, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. In this role, the Account Executive manages a portfolio of customers, develops new business opportunities, and maintains strong, long-term client relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying prospective clients, conducting sales presentations, preparing proposals and pricing, and negotiating contracts for LTL and related freight solutions. The Account Executive collaborates with operations and customer service teams to ensure proper onboarding and ongoing support, monitors account performance, and resolves issues to maintain high customer satisfaction. The role also involves analyzing market trends, tracking sales metrics, and regularly reporting pipeline and results to leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in business development, account management, and relationship building within logistics, transportation, or a related B2B environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage decision-makers and close complex sales.
- Ability to analyze customer needs, interpret freight data, and develop tailored solutions that align with operational and budget requirements.
- Comfort with CRM systems, basic sales reporting tools, and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar).
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including managing a sales pipeline, prioritizing opportunities, and meeting revenue targets.
- Experience or familiarity with LTL freight, logistics services, or supply chain concepts is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to travel locally in the Tampa, FL area for client meetings and occasional regional travel as needed.
