Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
- Assist with order picking and packing using various tools such as order pickers and mechanical devices to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Conduct stock replenishment, stocking, and inventory management tasks to maintain optimal warehouse distribution flow.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying orders with AS400 systems, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Perform heavy lifting and materials handling tasks while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries.
- Operate heavy equipment like cranes and forklifts with mechanical knowledge to support manufacturing, construction, or distribution needs.
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or related roles in manufacturing or construction environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or order pickers is essential; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing processes, and load & unload operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices for heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues when necessary.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy in inventory control and order fulfillment. Pay: $22.26 - $26.80 per hour
