Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
- Perform order picking and packing tasks efficiently to fulfill customer orders with precision and speed.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments, inspecting goods, and documenting inbound/outbound items.
- Stock shelves and organize materials systematically to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or damages.
- Follow OSHA safety guidelines diligently, including proper mechanical knowledge for heavy equipment operation and safe handling procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution centers, with familiarity in warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control procedures, and materials handling techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues when needed.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for order fulfillment and inventory accuracy.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, packaging, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
