About This Role
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Must be able to receive, store, disburse, and account for all material controlled by manufacturing storerooms.
- Disburses material or parts to internal customers requesting storeroom transactions.
- Verifies parts or material and amounts against information on the purchase or manufacturing orders, checks for required inspection stamps, and checks for correct finish on parts.
- Responsible for assuring parts/material is properly identified and packaged.
- Locates parts/material in proper bin in accordance with manufacturing procedures.
- Maintains records of materials received, disbursed, and on hand.
- Responsible for assuring inventory accuracy and record integrity through cycle counting and auditing of all physical inventories and monitoring all inventory transactions and records.
- Resolves storeroom discrepancies.
- May move material by hand, truck or conveyor within assigned storage area.
- May be required to transport material between work centers.
- Practices good safety habits and maintains good housekeeping.
- Performs other clerical or material handling duties as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of manufacturing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of production and inventory control systems.
- Written and oral communication skills which support cooperation with manufacturing personnel and support organizations.
- Basic personal computer skills. (e.g., word processing and spreadsheets).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand and interpret prints, bills of material and parts lists.
- Ability to work with measuring instruments.
- Ability to work from verbal instructions.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Ability to work well with others.
- This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
- This position is subject to noise.
- This position may require the ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs.
- This position may require certification to drive a company truck.
- Eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
