Primary Purpose Of Position
The Material Handler is responsible for the handling and processing of parts, products, and other materials in a warehouse environment. Other duties include receiving, order processing, and warehousing duties as assigned.
Primary Duties And Accountabilities
- Receives products, parts, and other materials and records receipts in the inventory management system for order fulfillment, verifying quantities, part numbers, and item condition.
- Products and material will include HVAC, plumbing, electronics, electrical, water heaters and other related products and material to be used by the sales, installation and service business.
- Stage completed orders for pick up by installation and service technicians.
- Process orders for service technician truck stock replenishment.
- Prepare parts orders for shipment via various parcel carriers.
- Perform daily warehouse housekeeping activities.
- Comply with all safety practices and PPE requirements.
- Participate in physical inventory counts.
- Process orders for products, parts and other materials required for HVAC installations.
- Put away incoming inventory into designated locations.
- Learn and identify products related to HVAC installation and service.
- Utilize appropriate customer relations skills when interacting with internal and external customers.
- High school Diploma or GED
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be willing and available to work various shifts, schedules, and days as needed to support Business Operations
- Experience receiving materials and processing orders in a warehouse environment
- Experience operating electric fork trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Ability to be trained and perform all core warehouse operational functions
- Experience using computer systems to input and retrieve operational data
