Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Mason to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of masonry tasks with precision and efficiency, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Your expertise in various masonry techniques, blueprint interpretation, and construction safety protocols will ensure high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to project timelines. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute masonry work according to specifications.
- Construct, repair, and restore structures using brick, stone, concrete blocks, and other building materials with precision and attention to detail.
- Install rebar reinforcement and perform concrete forming and finishing to ensure structural integrity.
- Execute mortar work including bricklaying, stone masonry, stucco application, and plastering with consistent quality.
- Build masonry scaffolds safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety protocols on-site.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and welding equipment safely to complete tasks effectively.
- Install building materials such as trim carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing components, caulking, tile laying, and other related tasks as needed for renovation or new construction projects.
- Follow construction plans meticulously while interpreting technical drawings and schematics for accurate execution of complex masonry tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by managing materials properly and ensuring safety standards are upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Experience
- Proven masonry experience with a strong background in concrete masonry units (CMUs), stonework, bricklaying, and related construction techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with concrete finishing processes including pouring, leveling, smoothing, and curing.
- Skilled in rebar installation, concrete forming systems, plastering techniques, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, tile laying, and restoration work.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope and material requirements.
- Knowledge of safety protocols specific to construction sites including scaffold building and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret construction plans accurately while working independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Prior experience working on renovation projects or new builds involving diverse building materials such as stone masonry or metal framing is highly desirable.
