Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and seasonal specials that enhance the dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices
- Use knife skills efficiently for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other food preparation tasks
- Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all meals meet health regulations and safety standards
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food with precision and efficiency
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operational flow during busy hours
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining experience
- Strong culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
