The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is seeking a Systems Analyst II-III to join the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Administration & Operational Support (UIA&OS) Department, to help provide Unemployment Insurance (UI) guidance and support to TWC staff across the state. The position will be located at one of the TWC UI campus (El Paso, Fort Worth, McAllen, San Antonio) or in our UI administration team in Austin, Texas.

What You Will Do
The Systems Analyst II-III performs moderately complex to complex (journey-level) computer systems analysis work. You Will Be Trusted To
- Gather, analyze, and document user requirements, business processes, and existing problems in order to automate or improve existing systems. May train others.
- Serve as a liaison between the UI department and the IT department.
- Review complex system documents to verify that the needs of the UI department are being met.
- Develop, document, prepare, and execute test user acceptance test (UAT) plans, scenarios, and suites for different applications.
- Provide guidance and technical support to TWC staff on unemployment benefits systems.
- Assist with the development of procedures and guidelines related to system changes.
- Diagnose system problems and recommends solutions, including the communication with claimants and employers about complex technical issues.
- Respond to data and information requests, including generating and validating ad hoc queries and formatting output.
- Remain flexible and assists with additional tasks as needed for the success of the department and division.
- Systems Analyst II: One year of full-time experience in computer programming, systems analysis, and/or program analysis or one year of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis.
- Systems Analyst III: Two year of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis or two years of full-time experience which provided general knowledge of data processing or systems analysis.
- Both Levels: Relevant academic credits may be applied toward experience qualifications for this position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
- Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint 365 development and authoring.
- Ability to work quickly and perform multiple tasks while paying attention to detail.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.
- A knowledge and/or skills exercise may be conducted.

- Competitive starting salary: $4,020.33-$5,205.83/ month, dependent on experience and geographical location

Salary : $4,020 - $5,206
