What You Will Do

You Will Be Trusted To
- Plan for and participates in assigned monitoring reviews.
- Gather, track, assess, and file monitoring-related data and information.
- Utilize Agency systems to obtain relevant contractor and case information and complete monitoring-related data entry.
- Develop draft monitoring reports and correspondence under the direction of a lead monitor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in accounting, business administration, finance, economics or a related field -OR-
- Four years of full-time experience in accounting, program financial performance or IT auditing, or in management information systems analysis, business process analysis, contract monitoring, or in positions which provided extensive knowledge of agency budgetary controls, or administrative procedures and related state and federal regulatory laws may substitute for education.
- A license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas will satisfy the minimum requirements.
- A certificate to practice as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) will satisfy the minimum requirements.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in auditing, contract monitoring, or compliance monitoring.
- Quality control or project management experience.
- Proficiency in composing clear and concise audit reports, gathering and analyzing accurate and relevant audit information, and evaluating documents for accuracy and legal conformance.
- Experience with identifying areas of needed change and making recommendations to improve processes and internal controls.
- Certified Texas Contract Manager to assist with Contract Oversight and Support department’s work and mission.
