While most of Austin is winding down, our Night Auditor is the calm, capable person keeping the hotel running overnight. Located in the heart of downtown Austin near the Rainey Street District, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys a fast-paced hospitality environment and can remain confident and guest-focused during busy nights.
Our Night Auditor is responsible for guest service, balancing the day’s business, handling overnight hotel operations, and making sure the hotel is set up for success by morning.
Hotel experience is strongly preferred due to the independent nature of the shift, downtown location, and overnight decision-making responsibilities.
Typical schedule is 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, though business needs and coverage may occasionally require flexibility.
What You’ll Do
- Audit, balance, and reconcile daily cash, credit card, and room transactions
- Complete nightly reporting and reset systems for the next business day
- Handle guest check-ins, check-outs, and overnight requests professionally and confidently
- Respond to guest concerns and help resolve basic housekeeping or maintenance issues overnight
- Coordinate with overnight houseman and communicate important information for the morning leadership team
- Assist with light breakfast setup and maintaining public areas overnight
- Answer reservation inquiries and accurately enter reservations into the system
- Complete required logs, reports, and overnight communications
- Support guest recovery efforts and problem solve independently when situations arise
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and well-run overnight environment for guests and team members
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hotel front desk or Night Audit experience strongly preferred
- Someone dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently overnight
- Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment
- Professional communication and guest service skills
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced downtown hotel environment
- Basic accounting/math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stay calm, confident, and guest-focused during overnight challenges
- Experience with Hilton systems or hotel PMS systems is a plus

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
