Dental Office Manager Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Direct and manage the day-to-day operation of the dental office

-Maintain professional work environment

-Coordinate staff schedules

-Oversees the responsibilities and duties of all the office personnel to ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently

-Problem solve and develops measurable performance objectives for the team

-Observe and evaluate staff performance to ensure quality service and compliance with policies

-Lead morning huddles

-Prepare, monitor, and track operational reports and key vitals of the company to ensure accuracy and efficiency

-Oversees billing and collection processes

-Supervises patient recordkeeping and HIPAA compliance

-Market the practice internally and externally

-Oversees systems for patient retention, follow-ups, and new patient acquisition

-Ensures optimal patient care, monitors patient satisfaction and resolves complaints

-Order office supplies as needed

-Prepare End-of-Day reports

-Must be knowledgeable in all front office positions/duties and fill in as needed

-Monitor and maintain office compliance

Requirements and Qualifications:

-Dental Management experience (minimum 2 years required)

-Must have strong knowledge and experience in dental front office rolls and staff management

-Customer service and patient relations experience

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

-High School Diploma

-Ability to pass a background check
