The TTUHSC Permian Basin Pediatric Residency is a new program based in Midland, Texas beginning in 2028, designed to address critical pediatric care shortages by training residents in general pediatrics and subspecialties like critical care, behavioral developmental, neonatology, adolescent medicine and endocrinology. Supported by a community investment, the program focuses on comprehensive, high-quality care with a focus on rural health.

- Provide clinical care in adolescent/young adult medicine including physical and mental health;
- Consultative services around eating disorders, behavioral health, chronic illness and reproductive health;
- Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team; and
- Participate in the education of students and residents.
- MD/DO/MBBS;
- Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3;
- Completed, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Residency; and
- Completed, or in process of completing, a Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine.
