What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reno Nevada Photo Assistant for booth at USA Volleyball Girls 18s Nationals May 1-3 position at Texas Star Photos?
My name is Dan Radin with Texas Star Photos, the Official Photographer for USAV at the Girls 18s National Championships in Reno May 1-3.
I work with my wife Stephanie in managing the tournaments we do for USAV. We need approximately 4 additional booth workers to do the following:-
- take parent requests via laptops
- walk memory cards and request slips to and from photographers at their courts
- use laptops to fulfill parent orders for prints, plaques, digital photos, and posters
- assist with award teams as they come to our booth for their award team photos
We have been doing this for USAV for 18 years and like to support the local communities wherever we go. For the first 2 days of the tournament (May 1-2), play starts play at 8am, has a break around 2pm, with the 2nd wave of teams starting at 3pm and last game scheduled at 8pm.
On the last day of the tournament (May 3), play starts at 8am and the last championship matches are scheduled to start around 2pm.
For the booth workers, ideally some will start at 7am as parents come to sign up for their action photos before they go their player's starting court. Those that start early on the first 2 days can work until 6pm or even 7pm if they are want. For those that start a little later like 8:15am, they can work until 6 or 7pm as well.
We are able to accommodate those that can only work morning or afternoon as well.
he most important day for the booth workers is the last day, May 3. We do the largest amount of action and team photos that day. Anyone that wants to help needs to be available at least from 9am - 4pm on that day. In addition, helpers need to work at least May 1 or May 2 or both so we can train them in preparation for the last day. Ideally, the same ones will work all three days, but we can accommodate those that can only work 2 days (including the last day) out of the 3 if need be.
Pay is $20/hr. We will train on the use of the software and the procedures for taking requests, taking memory cards to and from photographers, fulfilling parent orders, and assisting with award teams.
Those that have worked with us in the past find it fun and rewarding. Current or former college volleyball players, college students, and retired teachers particularly find it exciting.
The booth workers will be paid within a few days after the end of the tournament via Zelle.
Have anyone interested please text my wife Stephanie at 512-970-7938 as soon as possible. She wants to finalize our booth assistants no later than April 12th.
