What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance - Grounds position at Texas Pipe & Supply?
**Pay Rate: $14.00 **
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Willing to reliably fulfil the designated work schedule inclusive of overtime
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment
- Reliable transportation
- Committed to working safely at all times including a commitment to the policies and procedures of the operation
- Positive attitude; good team player
- Can work independently with minimal supervision
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining the roadways throughout the facility clean of debris
- Responsible for daily upkeep of the property buildings and grounds which includes cleaning and removing of trash.
- Observe necessary safety precautions
- Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
- Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
- Responsible for mowing grass on property as well as using a weed eater
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift and stack objects 15 to 20 lbs.
- Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may also include climbing ladders and staircases
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions – heat, cold, rain
